If you missed our Live Event, watch it here!

On Saturday, January 30th, 2021 our Central Pacific District family attended our CPD Online Event: This Divine Moment.

It was a wonderful time of offering vision, hope and courage to our leaders, workers and teams both pastoring and pioneering in such unprecedented times.

Tim Hawkins, along with worship leaders from other Alliance churches, led us in worship. Our speaker and District Superintendent Wayne Spriggs shared a timely word for our district family from John 17 and led us in communion together.

Members of our district shared prayers from John 17 focused on a heart of Unity, in languages represented across our district. What a beautiful picture of the body of Christ, coming together in a unified heart.

We are so thankful for each of the members of our district. We pray unity and blessings on you, your families, and your church families.

Thanksgiving Message from your DS

We're entering into a wonderful season of the year, the season of Thanksgiving. And I was reminded as I was preparing for this talk to you today that the scriptures tell us,

"In everything, give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Thess 5:18)

You see, that's where our Thanksgiving belongs. That's where our Thanksgiving is rooted. It's in Christ Jesus. And it's concerning you. It's concerning your friends. It's concerning people who are not yet followers of Jesus Christ. It's concerning the people in your church. It's concerning the people of our world, where our IWs are seeking to reach them with the good news of Jesus Christ.

And so I want to express my thanks to you as members of the CPD family.

August Message from your DS

During these days when things are not what they should be and maybe not what you would like them to be and certainly not what they've been, my encouragement to you lay leaders and pastors and CPD family, is to use this again as an opportunity to know Christ.

Let's focus on the Christ who came and the Christ who will come again, the Christ, who is our holiness, who is our sanctifier.

Let's increasingly get to know Him.

It's in Him that we live and move and have our being. This is our opportunity during these days. This is our privilege during these days.

We all need encouragement to be prepared for the fallout of the shelter in place experience. It will have an effect on our congregants both personally and financially. These effects will certainly be felt in the church. I encourage all of us to realize we are partners in this journey. Let’s reach out to one another, call on the District staff for assistance, and share prayer requests with one another.

We are not alone!

Message from your Central Pacific District Superintendent, Wayne Spriggs, sharing a word of encouragement, tips for self-care and ideas regarding church finances during this time.
Watch the video above.

I'm sure that you have heard that the CARES Act was passed and signed into law by the President. Here's what we have gleaned that pertains to religious nonprofits:

CARES Act Details:

    • Sends direct checks to individual Americans up to $1,200
    • Provides grants and loans to churches to meet payroll and pay rent
    • Provides liability protection for providers who volunteer (Good Samaritans)
    • Allows HSA to be used to purchase over-the-counter medications
    • Extends expiring health extenders to November

A Prayer for our time together at Encounter 2019

 "Hope is Rising"

As Encounter 2019 approaches, we are praying this prayer for our time together- Join us!
Join us in praying and join us in person on February 25-27 in Chico for our Central Pacific District Conference.

Father, there is no one like you. And we ask that as we gather together for Encounter 2019, we would dream the dreams that are on your heart. That as a family, we would ask what would it look like to represent our Father to a world in the midst of tragedy. That we would see that we are not alone but that there are brothers and sisters around us who also long to see you known in this world. And that we would be able to declare together that hope is rising.

Here's our DexCom leaders answering the question, "Why are you excited about Encounter?"

Sandy Kang:

Encounter is one of my favorite times of the year, as I get to step out of church and ministry context to connect with friends over times of worship, hearing from amazing speakers, but most importantly, having meaningful conversations that feed my heart and my soul.
