If you missed our Live Event, watch it here!

On Saturday, January 30th, 2021 our Central Pacific District family attended our CPD Online Event: This Divine Moment.

It was a wonderful time of offering vision, hope and courage to our leaders, workers and teams both pastoring and pioneering in such unprecedented times.

Tim Hawkins, along with worship leaders from other Alliance churches, led us in worship. Our speaker and District Superintendent Wayne Spriggs shared a timely word for our district family from John 17 and led us in communion together.

Members of our district shared prayers from John 17 focused on a heart of Unity, in languages represented across our district. What a beautiful picture of the body of Christ, coming together in a unified heart.

We are so thankful for each of the members of our district. We pray unity and blessings on you, your families, and your church families.

I am happy to highlight two of our recent workers in my blog this month. Paige Reddick Morris was ordained the Sunday after Encounter in Hawaii this year. Hou Lei was ordained on June 27th complete with the proper COVID protections.

I asked each of them to share a short biography so we all could get to know them better. So proud of the accomplishments of these members of the CPD family!

Blessings,
Mike Mitchum

CPD Church Planting Update - Summer 2020

This is my first connection with all of you in my new role as Church Planting Director for the Central Pacific District.

Each one of you is needed as we need all of the big, medium, and small CPD churches to join me on this journey. I will do my best, and I trust my Lord Christ Jesus to guide me on this new role.

Today, I would like to present officially the most recent churches planted in our District:

Four Testimonies from Leaders in the CPD

Testimony from Edgar castro

Today, I would like to share my personal experience at the CPD and the experiences of some other brethren.

When they called me to work at the CPD, I personally believed it would be challenging for me, because within me, I knew about my limitations, such as my English accent and being a Hispanic. I knew that the CPD never had a Hispanic person as a part of the staff, which was scary for me.

Every day, I came to work, expecting that one of my Anglo-American colleagues would be telling me something negative about my English accent or my origin, but that never happened. All District staff, without exception, have always have seen me, and continue to treat me, not as a Hispanic, but as their brother in Christ.

Good News Glorifies God as ARCG Hosts Homeless Community

In the “CPD Blessings” video that was sent out yesterday, you heard Jim Blake briefly describe how Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds has been blessed to serve the homeless in their community. One minute, however, can hardly do justice to the impact that our camp is having. This is the “rest of the story.”

ARCG has partnered with the Redwood Gospel Mission of Santa Rosa, welcoming eighty men and women in their residential addiction recovery program to shelter in place at the Camp. They have done this without any commitment of funding from the government as of yet.

Testimonies from our Hispanic Churches during COVID-19

Greetings to the Central Pacific District family!

Today, I want to share with you that we have been praying for all the churches. Not only CMA churches but the churches from all denominations that are seeking more of the presence of God during these times we are living.

This pandemic has caused the temporary closure of the buildings where our CPD Hispanic churches congregate, along with other churches around the world. Nevertheless, the church of our God has never closed, nor will it close.

Why do I say this?
