Missions Update: Contact with the Guarajios [Video]

[fa icon="calendar"] April 4, 2019 / by Tim Agnello

I'm super excited to give you an update on our initiative to engage the Guarajio Tribe in the mountains of Mexico. Please watch the video and read the message below from Brenda Granados, one of our leaders from Alliance Mexico, then enjoy the video she sent - We've made contact!!

Brenda says,

Brother Tim, we had an amazing trip! God has opened doors and we believe the ground is ready for us to start working. We gave out 120 food baskets to the people and they were very happy. We had the opportunity to interact with people and prayed for many of them - it was truly amazing!

One of the things we see is the opportunity to build a house for a family. The husband/father was killed by the drug dealers and the mom and kids are in much need of love and a place to stay. Her sister is going to donate a piece of land and we offered to help build a house for the mom and kids. We believe this will be a very personal and meaningful way to positively impact the community in the name of Jesus as we begin to build relationships here.

Thank you so much, CPD, for being a partner with us!!!"

Brenda Granados

Wow! What an encouraging update on the progress with contacting this remote people. God is clearly opening doors for our workers in the field to love people in very tangible ways. As a district, we want to support this team as they build a house for this dear family. We are estimating the cost to be $6000 and are asking you to partner with us.

If any of you or your church would like to donate to help build this house, please send your donation check to the CPD office.

You can send checks payable to CPD with 'Guarajio House' in the memo line to our district office. Please note "ATTN Tim" on the envelope.

Feel free to give me a call or email me at tim@cpdistrict.org for details, to let me know you're IN, or just to hear about our hopes and how the launch is going and beyond!!

Come on CPD - LET'S DO THIS TOGETHER!!
